Commercial Applications
The Americans with Disabilities Act provides that all businesses must maintain their floors in a slip resistant condition.
No Slip Zone treatments are guaranteed for two years from the date of application as long as the surface is maintained with approved cleaning agents. Our treatments can be safely applied and reapplied without jeopardizing the structural composition of the material on which it is applied. Most important, there is no set up, curing, or drying time required. The surfaces treated can be used immediately after our anti-slip application.
Many other slip-proofing solutions are applied topically and eventually crack, peel or rub off. Our treatments work into the surface itself so it will not crack, peal, chip, or discolor with age.
We offer a maintenance program to make sure you remain in compliance.
Many businesses may be eligible for tax credits and/or tax deductions as incentives to comply with the non-slip ADA guidelines. Your Worker’s Compensation and Liability Insurance could also be reduced. You will need to consult your tax and insurance professionals regarding your specific situations.
Utilizing the same testing process as OSHA, No Slip Zone tests the static coefficient of friction (SCOF) of your floors to determine if you comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA requires a SCOF of .5 for all public access areas, while OSHA requires a SCOF of .6 on walkways and .8 on ramps.
If you wish to find out if you comply with Federal Law Standards pertaining to slip resistant floor surfaces, call us to schedule a SCOF test of your floor. Our test takes about 20 minutes to complete, will not disrupt any business operations and there is no charge for this test. Protect the health of your employees, your customers, and your company.
